Questions

Common Questions

What happens at the first appointment?

A 60-minute conversation. We review your history, current symptoms, sleep, medical background, and what you want to be different. If medication is appropriate, we discuss options together and you leave with a plan you have agreed to — not one handed to you.

Do you offer therapy as well as medication?

Every visit includes supportive, solution-focused conversation, and non-pharmacological strategies are used wherever they help. For structured weekly psychotherapy, you will be referred to a trusted therapist and care is coordinated closely.

Are appointments in person or by video?

Both. Secure video visits suit most evaluations and follow-ups and are held at the same unhurried pace as in-person care. In-person coordination is arranged when it is clinically indicated.

How often will we meet?

Typically every two to four weeks while a plan is being established, then every one to three months once things are steady. The rhythm is set by what you need, not by a template.

What ages do you see?

Adolescents, adults, and older adults. Care for younger patients is provided in partnership with families and, where helpful, with schools and primary care.

Is this an emergency service?

No. If you are in crisis or concerned about your safety, call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency department. Routine messages are answered within one business day.

How is my privacy protected?

Records, messages, and video visits are handled under HIPAA safeguards. Nothing is shared with family, employers, or other clinicians without your written authorization, except where the law requires it.
